Not connecting to wifi.

I recently did the bios mod to allow me to install my Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 card from an older laptop. After I installed it I was able to find wireless networks but when I tried to connect to them it doesn't connect and looks like the adapter turns off and on. I have tried re installing the drivers but that didn't seem to help at all. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?

Could possibly be a bad card? Maybe try re-seating the card? Did you un-install all old drivers before re-installing the new ones? I had a problem with my Centrino 2230 where it would keep dropping the connection, even after re-installing the new drivers. Finally, I deleted all wifi drivers and software, then rebooted, and then installed the drivers again, and now its been almost a week since I have dropped a connection. Just a few things to try maybe.

Are you still experiencing issues? I have not flashed a whitelist modded bios but when I reloaded Windows 8.1 on my Y400 from scratch, I was having the same issue. I was able to get around this by using a slightly older driver (as thenextTechie suggested) and have not had any issue connecting since.

Hi, i wanna ask, why, my bluetooth driver, some time will not load, which is now, i start my y400, then start to pair Bluetooth with my phone, but, it doesn't show any bluetooth setting on Windows 8.1 setting, so, i need to reboot my laptop again in order to have the bluetooth enable..why this happen?
