AviatorX
Hey guys, so i am looking at buying this ram here for my laptop. My question is that the description says it is for 2nd gen Intel i5s and i7s, but will it work with my 3rd gen Intel i7? Thanks.
DARKWORLD
It doesnt matter, but you should check your motherboard compatibility with 1600Mhz RAM.

Whackamac
It would depend what 3rd gen i7 you are running. Some only support 1333 though most ram will downclock. I have been very fond of the GSKILL ram for quite some time. Save a few bucks too.
Sleipnir
I think you should see your mainboard specification to select the best frequency RAM to use. Because if you buy 1600Mhz RAM but your mainboard support 1333Mhz, it will run at 1333Mhz. (Maximum of your motherboard) But i think it should work with your mainboard & processor.
