SpaceHippy1975
Hi All,I have a problem with the CD drive (slot drive) on my M15x, it is not ejecting the disk that is currently in there. I was just wondering if anybody has had this problem & knows how to sort it out?Everytime I press the eject button on the touch panel I can hear a whirring & clicking noise as if it was about to eject the disk, this noise goes on for about a minute then stops. I have tried right clicking on the CD drives icon & ejected the disk that way but still have the same issues as before.Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to proceed?CheersKeith. Genetics
@SpaceHippy1975 Enter BIOS, hold your laptop vertically (Make sure the CD driver on the side down) and push eject button.Good luck.
SpaceHippy1975
Hi,Just tried doing what Genetics suggested but had no luck, looks like I'm going to have to open her up.I'm guessing that I'll need to replace the drive, maybe I'll be able to get a Blue-ray one?!Cheers Anyways!Keith. AcidPanda
Don't CD drives still have a little pin hole to manually eject?

SpaceHippy1975
Hi,Yes, Genetics is correct, it is a slot drive. I'm glad it's not one of my Game of Thrones boxset DVD stuck in there!!I'll open up the laptop & see if I can get it working..... When I'm in the right mood!
