Guest
Does your BIOS still remember the correct time after you pull AC Power and Battery?Maybe it needs a new CMOS battery...
wwischerath
It sounds like a battery failure.
ahhchuonu
how do i find out if the BIOS as the correct time?so i need a new battery?while i was doing the battery reset, i was playing a game. i didnt read the caution before i reset it and now my battery wont charge. In order to charge my batter, i first have to unplug it from my laptop. Then i have to plug just the ac adapter in. Now, I plug my battery in and it charges. Also, after all that, lets say i unplug the adapter while its charging and plug it back in, it does not recognize the adapter is plugged in. Any thought on how to fix this? This also makes my games have a lower FPS.

Robert
You are having the same problem many many of us are having with different brands of Lenovo laptop. There are quite a lot of posts about this, including one solution that involves replacing a MOSFAT on your motherboard ...https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Solution-for-laptop-cannot-detect-AC-adapter-after-performing/td-p/1641892Short story is, it's a hardware problem usually brought about by running the battery calibration utility. The only current solution other than DIY replacement of an IC is to have Lenovo replace your motherboard.
