I don't care, if i had to modify the heatsink. example: can i use gtx 680m? I'm looking for a card that much more better than gtx 460m (maybe more vram, same or better bus-width, etc...) atariangamer Posted February 15, 2014 Share Posted February 15, 2014 I'm kinda wondering this for myself...I've been researching all over the place without a seriously definite answer, but I've found claims of these cards working:460M 1.5GB (alternate G73SW card if you don't have it already, as mine is the 1GB version)560m 2GB (pulled from an ASUS G53S, no vbios needed, driver hassles)660m 1GB (various models, vbios mod needed, driver hassles...but only guide is for JH/JW)I'm looking at that 660m mod (because it fits within the power/heat specs of the 460/560), but it may also be possible to do higher 5x0/6x0 cards, or even 7x0 cards (though you probably start to run into heat issues, as well as needing a new power supply). svl7 has the pinned guide on the G73JW 660m mod in this subforum.
