You heard it, this thing sucks, and does drop out and after all this time assumed it was the router. Well I have an unlocked bios, can I use any mSATA wlan for an intel board? I game plus work from home. I don't have wideband but will upgrade to 50mbps business connection when we move.

People seem to be getting really good results with the 7260 (Intel Card) it's cheap, 2 antenna so doesn't leave any bandwidth on the table by not being able to connect a 3rd antenna. Plus it's 802.11ac so it is there for when you upgrade your router. Other reports from here on the forums are that it is getting about 700mbps in the real world. Can't wait to be able to install mine.

I installed my 7260 and have been getting inconsistent results so far. I have a link speed reported as 866mbps but not getting anywhere near that throughput IRL on file transfers. I also seem to lose the credentials to my 5GHz network everytime I reboot. I will do a full rollback on the drivers and router reset and report back. Event in its current state it is a vast improvement over the original 2230.
