Hello, i recently went for the Alienware 17. Was choosing between the two myself as well but went for the AW 17 in the end. You can get 10% off the price of your configuration on the AW by registering at the Dell VIP club which really saves a lot of money. Performance wise upgrades on the Clevo are cheaper than on the Alienware due to pricing just depends on how crazy you want to go with components. I really like the premium feel of the AW 17 though. has a rubber finish all around the keyboard (which does attract vingerprints and oils fast) and the keyboard types very nice. All in all i'm very happy with my purchase. Hope this helps

I have a clevo p15x and its working like a charm, cheap and absolutely amazing. There are specific websites you can go on where they sell the entire bundle for like 1500 pounds ( which i think its great)

bundle includes gtx780m graphics card 16gb ram, 2 tb hard drive, and i think it was a 256 gb ssd, working absolutely amazing and im playing battlefield 3/4beta on ultra graphics with really high fps and no lag

The Alienwares will have better cooling systems and better build quality, whereas the Sager/Clevo will have better hardware for the money, Alienwares tend to have more customization features as well, it's what you want really.
