Hi Klem, do you still mod (Unlock OC) the nVidia 780m bios for the G750JH on request? In case you do, I've attached my non 3d 780m bios :)

I guys, i've an Asus g750jh with GTX780M and i tried to unlock, flashing bios with the modded bios on this site in overclock thread. Now in nvidia inspector i can overclock gpu clock to 1008Mhz but clock memory can't overclock, returning at default clock (5000) when try to do it. Reading this thread, i saw klem sending pm for this "super version". If you have any sort of solution i would be grateful! Thank you!

Hi !

I'm gonna get this topic live again :D

Klem, I need help for modding my 765M vbios, it seems ASUS's gpus need a special treatment (like the one you did for MrRuckus).

First of all thanks for your work but the version of the vbios which have the same problems that MrRuckus faced (see Quote).

It seems the super version of the 780M worked great with timmy112 :)

It would be nice if you can do me a super version 765M Vbios so I can stop suffering from it low performance with newer AAA titles :)

Thanks !

So after MUCH headache, I was finally able to get the Bios applied. It seems on these Asus boards, you have to disable Secure Boot, and enable "Launch CSM". It also helps to use a newer thumb drive. I tried an old thumb drive yesterday for hours with no success, turned out to be the thumb drive since it was so old (2GB Kingston).

In anycase, I now have the vbios installed and the limitations are gone. My only problem now is any attempt to run furmark over stock results in a display driver crash. Even 135Mhz GPU only, not touching memory does the same (when with the limitations it worked fine). I applied the vbios, rebooted and enable secureboot and disabled CSM and booted into windows. Should I be doing anything before attemping to OC now? I can also raise the voltage, but would like to know a safe range to go to if possible. Currently @ an offset of 0.0mV. I tried 2 notches to +25.0mV but the result of furmark causing a display driver crash was the same.

Thanks, The New Super Version works great, stock speed is now 954mhz and after half an hour of playing Assassins Creed 1 @ 1045mhz highest gpu temps are 72 degrees.

Firestrike Super 5357: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700HQ,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. G750JHA

Firestrike +100 5648: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700HQ,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. G750JHA

This new super version. And of course you need in Nvidia Inspector set the slider of temperature to 92C.

Edit : I PM'd you in case the forum doesnt notify you about the quoted post.

Thanks again for you time :)

Hi Klem! Thank you for all the assistance you have provided here. I have an ASUS G750JH, and I have tried using the modified vbios Nvidia GTX 780m - 'OC edition' from http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/1847-nvidia-kepler-vbios-mods-overclocking-editions-modified-clocks-voltage-tweaks.html to unlock the 135 MHz limt. I can flash the vbios successufully, but there is a resulting MXM error upon reboot. I can load Windows and the limits appear to be unlocked ... but instead it seems my integrated GPU is being used instead when I play games, and HDMI audio is broken, and the system does not detect when the HDMI cable is inserted or removed >.<

Could I humbly request a modified version of my vbios that unloks the 135 MHZ limit but does not break these other features...? I would be truly grateful! ^_^

In reviewing this thread, I guess I am also in seek of the 'super' version that people speak of...

Hello Klem!

I'm kind of new here. Can someone send me a link with a modded bios? (why it isn't available publicly by the way?)

My vbios (extracted with help of GPU-Z):

Thank you in advance!

Seems to be more stable on:

GPU clock: 1045 MHz

Memory Clock: 3000 MHz

Voltage: +25 mV

3dmark 2011 results: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/10675739

General score: 8809

Graphics score: 9235

Still GRRREAT results for me. It seems like going beyond the 1045 MHz point makes it very unstable - I'm getting "driver reloaded" and 3dmark "device hung" errors. Seems the same with memory 3000 MHz.

Seems like I found a finally stable setup. The previous wasn't stable after all - the driver tends to crash on them. Doing stress tests for now to check that everything is OK. You'll need the Notebook Fan Control though to set the GPU fan at full speed, else it is a little dangerous to close the lid, lol, overheating occures (dunno why in auto mode it never spins the fan to it's full).

I'll post the 3d mark 2011 score a bit later, it featured a graphical score of about 9290, but I'll rerun the tests to check it again that everything is allright.

The settings probably ARE a little dangerous, but now running for about 1 hour of stress tests I got no driver crashes, nor black screens, nor artifacts. Seems to be pretty stable, but will run it for longer.

I think the settings I'll post are probably the highest possible while being stable. Just wait a bit until I end all the stress tests.

Seems like this is finally the most stable result:

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/10748685

Graphics score: 9086

1007 MHz - GPU core clock

962 mV (+0 mV) - Voltage (NOTE: not recommending upping voltage more than that - a lot of black screens)

3020 MHz (6040 in Asus GPU Tweak) - Memory clock

102% - power target

92 - temperature

I wouldn't recommend going higher - not because of overheating but because of drivers crashes or black screens. You can of course get benchmarks with score 9300 on graphics tests in 3DMark 2011, but ingame you can eventually end up with some crashes or even worse black screen, which will require a reset of your notebook.

UPD: Fire Strike score: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10036237?

Sky diver score: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10037550?

Cloud gate score: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10037644?

UPD2: just as a little joke: Fire Strike Ultra (4K ready test): http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10037016?
