marvsiar
hey guys just bought a g73 laptop from craigslist (SIGH). I tested the laptop for a few minutes and it worked perfect. I get home and try to get some gaming on and it hard freezes randomly from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. I tried updating the sound driver but it doesn't help whatsoever. anybody have some insight? Ads8111
Could be heat blow it out with compressed air for dust check your temps in game or with furmark from geeks 3D you could need a heat sink repaste as well. Update graphics drivers to latest update. if not try a windows re-install if you have that option. The motherboard graphics card could be failing. ASUS RMA works alright does it still have a active warranty? By the way your completely in the wrong section. This section is for the Alienware m17x laptops not the Asus G serious laptops... coolkipp
It could be a bios problem, visit the support pages and see if there's an update.
thermie
It could be a driver issue, heating issue, or BIOS issue as stated...But it could also be defective hardware. Have you done diagnostics on the RAM, CPU, and possibly even the HDD? I've seen HDDs be the cause of system freezes/crashes... SMART diagnostics followed by a full sector check...
