hanberges 10 Posted September 5, 2013 Splinter Cell conviction (like SC: Double agent, based on the same modified Unreal engine), is quite CPU bound and performs poorly on dual cores CPUs; Even with quadcore CPUs you have sometime to manually change CPU affinity in task manager in order to balance load among all availables cores;Like many Ubisoft games, playing with Vsync settings and Monitor refresh rate could also help. Paqel 10 Posted September 13, 2013 I had the same problem on Lenovo Y500 and 2x GT650m SLI, however I changed render settings in NVIDIA control panel to AFR2 and turn off triple buffering. Now I have like 80 fps ultra settings full hd, vsync off.
jugermaut 10 Posted September 13, 2013 SC: Conviction is kind of weird if you used an AMD (ATi) cards. I remembered back then when I still used HD3850 it will constantly crash, even though it's playable. A lot of people are complaining about it. Not just series HD3xxx, but also 4, 5 and 6. So, what's your graphic card?
