dhruhin 10 Posted June 16, 2013 What do you guys think of the first ever Scott Forstall-free iOS? I personally like the changes, but wouldn't mind performance improvements. Yes, iPhone 4 has the same performance, but the iPhone 5 did lose some of its speed when upgraded to the latest OS. In addition, I, as a developer, expected more APIs to be released... Yet, all of the design changes are well made. What do you guys think the new iOS brings?
unreal25 786 Posted June 17, 2013 They finally added SBSettings as a fast-access control center. It looks very very well polished. I love the new parallax effect but I hope it won't be too taxing on the battery life. Here's some videos: I think they added some more features from Android (the moving background I believe). I like the design but I imagine there'll be haters.
Glenn Smeulders 11 Posted June 18, 2013 I don't find it that game changing, especially not the icons. The more I look at it the more it looks like a phone for older people who are having a hard time to read. But that just my opinion
Mackan 10 Posted June 22, 2013 It looks refreshing. The only thing I don't like is that translucent control center with monochrome text/icons. Also, some of the app icons aren't great.

CoolPrizes 10 Posted July 14, 2013 My thoughts exactly! What happened to the app icons.. seemed like they fired their graphic designers..The reason for the icon failures is they have a team working on UI elements such as icons and a team working with the program code. Apparently, both teams do not have very good communication skills.
point_blank911 10 Posted July 14, 2013 I think the ew iOS7 is somewhat similar to windows 8 appereance such as icons, GUI and etc. I haven't download one anyway but ive seen my friends tried. There's not much difference and i still like the current iOS 6.1.4 im using
wed_wabbit 12 Posted July 22, 2013 Personally I think it is a step forward for apple. I hope the app developers work on new icons too. The new design scheme looks like an Android/Windows love child.
unreal25 786 Posted July 24, 2013 Yeah. As long as they make the Mac OSX look like that. (I'm looking at you Microsoft!!)
soakwashrinsespin 10 Posted July 27, 2013 I prefer the new design overall, but some of the icons do seem a bit amateurish to me and could do with a bit more work. I had to downgrade to iOS 6 due to some app incompatibilities and I'm missing the cleanliness of iOS 7.
Chaebi 11 Posted August 14, 2013 Seems like a lot of iPhone users are switching to Android for many reasons. I've been an Android user since Day 1. Which makes me an opposite case, I've been wanting to try a different mobile OS platform for a while now. iOS7 looks okay, I guess. But it's something I'm looking forward to in a way. But I think the iOS7 would look better on bigger size phones. But we'll see... I think the next iPhone releasing soon may not be the iPhone I'm looking for. But I'm slightly hoping. zac_drake 10 Posted September 6, 2013 I think that design means anything and honestly, people who criticize are just haters who don't know anything about human perception and how design affects your mood.
hellviga 11 Posted September 20, 2013 The new design looks....bright. It might be my impatience, but I also think it feels slower than before.
miseosoup 10 Posted September 23, 2013 What are good parallax wallpapers for the new iOS7 that you guys know about? The default ones are a little boring in my opinion. And I think the whole experience will be smoother once the first update comes out. Hopefully that'll happen soon.
kratzu 10 Posted September 24, 2013 Did the camera speed improve? I can spam my friend's gallery with more images than ever...
renegens 10 Posted September 30, 2013 Well on the 4s you need to tweak it to get the same speed as IOS6. As for the design I like it, it is something fresh, I am curios to see how they will implement this on the android platform.
bjrebo 10 Posted October 6, 2013 For me it is a welcomed change. IOS 6 was getting a little stale and I actually switched from an iphone 5 to an HTC one. I am not back on the iphone 5s because to me android is just too hard to get use to. I do like the new/revamped mail features in IOS 7 as well. I am looking forward to the new IPADs and Retina Macbook Pro's as well. I will probably get them as photography is a new hobby of mine and the retina displays compliment that. Dustydelux 11 Posted October 7, 2013 Making the ability to change even just the brightness makes this update worth the download. Also how much easier it is to navigate.
MrCat 11 Posted October 7, 2013 I've tried em all and preferred android above any iOS, but above that I've gotten really into the look and how easy windows phone 8 is!
Dustydelux 11 Posted October 7, 2013 Seeing the market being flooded with the new windows iOS I can not see why anyone would prefer it to Android or iOS 7, I was given my Iphone I much rather prefer Android because of its openness.
dennansson 10 Posted December 29, 2013 I didn't ike it at first, but it's getting better and better. But i woulf like to disable the fullscreen browsing in safari, that annoys the crap out of me
valued17 10 Posted December 30, 2013 Personally, I dont like ios 7. I upgraded my ipad 3 and regret it every single day. Its too childish.
Xorfee 10 Posted December 30, 2013 They just improved the DPI by take them higher... but now its hard for me to get the right letter on the keyboard... IOS6 was in my opinion much better...
