[Request] Modding/Update BIOS to UEFI - ASUS G74SX

The firmware of your system is already based on UEFI. UEFI is nothing but an interface specification, it says nothing about the actual implementation.

If you want features like secure boot and fast boot and don't have it on your current system there's nothing you can do about it. Even in case those options are hidden and the firmware could be modified so that they show up... it won't be of any use since it messes up the signature and firmware that has secure boot enabled needs to be signed, else your system won't boot.

uefi is only simulator on this bios, i reinstall win 8 and enabled "Uefi Mode" in the BIOS but thiis dont work.

Did you boot the win 8 DVD in UEFI? I have a G74S and it just works. Before enable UEFI in BIOS try to press bottom to show boot menu as son as asus logo appear. There`ll be options to boot by de DVD one with UEFI chose that one. Since your drive is MBR formatted the windows 8 install will say it`s not possible to use that partition. You have then to delete all partitions and create a new one. Actually the win 8 will create tow more partition by his on to proper work, and or drive will be GPT formatted. If I cold be of some help just ask sorry for the English I'm Brazilian.
