9623 3dm11 GPU score on 7970m at 1.225V. I raised the overcurrent protection threshold by 30% to stop crashes over 1.15V. Clocks were 1220/1615. I could do a little better. I have no idea why the CPU score is so bad. I even reinstalled 3dm11 and no improvement. ...

Perhaps because of some total (CPU+GPU) TDP limit?

Only 3dm11 does it. and power draw is relatively low during the cpu test. Combined is fine.

Are you using ThrottleStop? If not, you should try that. It makes a significant difference in 3DMark 11 and Vantage physics test results on all of my laptops. I think that many laptops have some kind of power table in the BIOS/EC and perhaps ThrottleStop does something favorable to block that communication from screwing things up.

I tried it. No improvement. The only other thing I can think of is a windows reinstall. I'm worried that it's a bug due to using an ES CPU. I could put the E1 I have back in and see if performance jumps back up. I'm out of paste right now though.

At least I got the GPU score higher. Unfortunately I don't think 10k GPU is possible without some more crazy mods. If I could fix the CPU performance though maybe 10k overall is doable.

I've run a benchmark for the first time with svl7 custom vBIOS on my dual 880M's with @Mr. Fox custom 345.20 modded drivers..

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/7438830?

Is this a good score for the dual 880M's?

I don't know anything about these scores lol

Good job, joluke! Yeah! You're in the top 10 in that benchmark for 880M SLI. You're #7 and only second from the top score for a system that does not have a desktop CPU. :woot:

Have a peek in the spoiler.

My latest AND best thus far :D Thx to CLU im finally able to go up to 4.8 Ghz stable on my CPU without throttling (not on hot summer days though *lol*) i think thats about as far as i can push my system, CPU / GPU / RAM all completely maxxed out and on the bleeding edge of their stability :P (sorry about the NBR, didnt make another screenie for a TI version :P )

980m @ 1472/6425, 3920xm @ 4.5, memory at 2000 9-10-10 T1. @johnksss beats me just barely. I may be able to catch up if I bench outside. He's got about 25mhz core over me. He's got a very good core.

Same as above but 980m @ 1476 core. #1 3dm11 GPU score on HWBOT by around ~400.

3dmv #1 HWBOT GPU score. 1472 core. can likely do higher. Also should push CPU more. It can do another 50MHz. It's an ES and locked to 1.351V VID max unlike OEM which are 1.501V max.
