juukes Posted April 14, 2013 Share Posted April 14, 2013 im contemplating on whether or not this product is worth picking up. im considering getting one of these for my y500.. as my laptop gets really hot (80C gpu/94C cpu) when im gaming while encoding video with high compression. edit. want to note that these temps are with throttlestop on. and the gt 650m oc'd to 1000/2400 what are ur thoughts on this product... fan speed is 3800rpm Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Samzflow Posted April 22, 2013 Share Posted April 22, 2013 I think one of the problems with standard cooling pads are that they can ensure better circulation around the laptop, making sure the air going in is relatively cool but they don't actually increase the airflow within the laptop. Hard to tell how effective this product is in practice but were it to boost the airflow I'm sure you would notice a temperature reduction.
