Msi ge60 SSD - kingston v300 ? 100$

Hi . I would like to buy ssd to my ge60. I have +- 100$ for this.

Kingston v300 looks interesting. What do u think about it ? Maybe others propositions ?

Since you have a gaming laptop, I'll assume you like to game. In that case, I'd probably recommend an Samsung 840 (not Pro) 120gb SSD. It's just around $100 and will get you faster read speeds than the V300, and better reliability as well. Sequential write speeds may not be as fast, but it's not very important for gaming or most tasks.

I don't trust Kingston value drives. Crucial, Samsung, Intel, or Corsair, they've all proved themselves.

To throw in my 2 cents, I'm toying with putting a SSD in my file server, and for the money, the 120GB Samsung 840 can't be beat at $100.

I also would recommend Samsung 830 as from some endurance benchmarks I've seen it was one of the drives that endured well over 5 PB of writes in an always-on write testing before dying.
