jseinturier
Hello. I've bought an Alienware M17X R4 WITHOUT the package 3DVision (120Hz display and embedded 3DVision controller). So the configuration of my computer use OPTIMUS with intel / geforce 680M combo.I know that optimus is incompatible with 3D vision and i wonder if i can deactivate optimus (maybe by deactivating the intel graphic chipset using an unlocked bios) i will be able to use 3DVision with an external HDMI display that is compatible with 3D vision. Thanks for the information.J. kakaroth1977
I think that if the external display 3d are 3dVision ready ( with ir emitter compatible ) it will work on gtx nvida .Without ir emitter display , you need a 3dVision kit as this NVIDIA 3D Vision 2Edit :Here you can find more info http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html
Alienblaster
Guys I'm thinking of upgrading my R4 to 3D. Can someone point me the links to a compatible 120Hz screen and the 3D vision kit?? I think that if the external display 3d are 3dVision ready ( with ir emitter compatible ) it will work on gtx nvida .Without ir emitter display , you need a 3dVision kit as this NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 where do I buy it?? In amazon there are like 100 products claimong to be 'THE' 3D vision kit 2. It'd be nice if you can paste a legit link from amazon or newegg here. kakaroth1977
Are you sure your display is 3d and Nvidia 3dVision capable? Take a good read on nvidia site for info to avoid bad shopping
