There could be several reasons some most's:

1.Your laptop battery may be unsteady.

2.your laptop power adapter have outages.

I have got problem with USB Flash Drive. I simply can't make a USB flash drive bootable. I got errors from HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool v2.1.8.

Error

Quote

Failed to format the device

After that Windows 10 see it as empty (0 bytes). I can easy restore it and system see it fine. But if i start HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool again i got another error.

Error 2

Quote

Device media is write-protected

I tested everything - run as administrator, magic keys in Regedit - nothing is working. I can't make it bootable.

You can try use the program Rufus, instead from HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool v2.1.8.

Also try use USB 2.0 flash drive.

I have got Transcend JetFlash 110 (4Gb) it's USB v2.0. So that's problem solved. :)

Prepare an USB stick which can boot DOS. If you don't know how to do this, follow this short guide:

First download the attachment from below and extract it (i.e. on your Desktop)
bootable_disk.zip...

...make sure you have the following selected...

I can't select in Rufus a folder "win98_files". It's offering only FreeDOS, ISO image, DD image...

Another error:

Now when i am trying to make backup of my BIOS:

(on simple double click):

Quote

Error 284: Fail to load driver (PCI access for Windows).

Tool needs to run with an administrator priviledge account.

E284.png

(Run as administrator)

Quote

Error 75: "fparts.txt" file not found

But as your may guess - it's in the same folder.

I am also added in *.bat file full address. Now it's look's like so:

Quote

C:\Folder\FPTw64\fptw64.exe -d BackupBiosY500.bin -bios
pause

SOLVED:

Right click on fptw64.exe and go to Properties => General Tab (press Unlock button)

Then go to Compatibility Tab and check box Run as Administrator

After that your are able to just double click on backup.bat

Lol, i am KEEP getting Errors!

New one is - i can't Drag-and-Drop modified BIOS in svl7 tool. =) It's showing me circle with "/" line.

I was smart and check box Run as Administrator in Compatibility Tab of BiosFixer_2.0.exe before running the tool.

So, now need go back and uncheck the box. :)

Oh that Windows 10! :) It's not trust Intel Corporation, but have no problems with svl7 tool. =)
