EleJota
I installed a Dell 670M card from laptopmonkey the performance is fine but I get intermittent throttling when passing from 70ºc have stoppages in games. I using the last nvidia drivers 310.70, stealth mode are off and the power plan are put on hight power. i buy the new 240w PSU original Dell and continue the vga Throttling problems... i try to run MSI Afterburner for undervolt my 670m and the option of manage the voltage (core voltage) are allways off I think the unique option are mod a vbios but i no have idea to mod. Playing any game example farcry3 have throttles i add the log. http://www.laser-arts.com/GPU-Z Sensor Log.txt Dump of vbios NV670M: http://www.laser-arts.com/670M.ROM
svl7
Please post a GPU-Z log (or similar) which shows the throttling, and a dump of your vbios.

svl7
It's normal that the card throttles during furmark. I need to know how it behaves in a game. Can you record a log file? Also, don't use furmark if you want to have your card in a working condition.

svl7
The log doesn't look too bad, I only see like three short dips to 2d clocks, but doesn't look like typical throttling. Did you experience fps drops?
EleJota
yes in game fps drops, yesterday playing farcry3 had more throttling times, i testing now one more time.
svl7
There are only two different values in the voltage table, 0.80v and about 0.85v... I doubt that 0.80v would be stable at 3d clocks.
EleJota
I record other log farcry3 play more throttling...http://www.laser-arts.com/GPU-Z%20Sensor%20Log%202.txt that I can do to fix it? increase the voltage?
svl7
More voltage would be counter-productive... did you overclock your CPU for gaming?
EleJota
I don't want to overclock I do not like have problems of throttling.
svl7
I was just wondering whether your CPU was at stock or not...
EleJota
i think no, you are view the second GPUZ log? here more throttling using stock clocks, people in other forum say the only solution are undervolt my gpu, but i no have idea how to for fix my throttling problems. svl7
Your voltage is currently at 0.85v, the only lower value is 0.80v... if you want, I can make a vbios at that voltage, but I really think it won't be stable at all.In case you overclocked your cpu you should try it again without overclocking it. Also your temps are rather on the high side.
EleJota
Thanks svl7, i no like OC in CPU and VGA i allways work in stocks clocks. I try to repaste the GPU and check the thermal pads. But It's strange when I active stealh mode mode the vga has no throttling.
EleJota
svl7 i change all themalpads of my system but i have a question ¿have to put theermal pad in these areas where it appears in the photo the red arrow? do I have bought thermalpads 0.5 mm phobia (contact done well for condensers and memory modules) I've seen that if I put there those thermalpads don't contact already that are not as too wide, I need to buy another thermalpad wider? from 5 mm? svl7
You don't really need to cover those parts. They do run warm, but your card will work fine without having thermal pads on there.
