poshto
Hi folks. I want to change a temperature profile (Like ones that people make on MSI's in RW-Everything) for my Dell 7720, because fan noise in idle is driving me crazy. I've found only one tool to control fans in this laptop - SpeedFan, but using this causes shuttering. In speedfan SMbus is called "DELL at $3E8 msg : Tested fans : 0 1 2 3 4 5 6". Is it possible to make a profile in "RW-Everything" or is there an easier solution for my problem?
terzer
I tried SpeedFan, but the fan doesn't show up. Is it 7720 or 7720se?
ssj4vegita
Can I install a more powerfull fan for the 7720 SE or an extra fan somewhere? Can anybody tell me what are my options?
MariusRZR
I also tried SpeedFan and it does not work. I think i'm having a problem with a temperature sensor on the motherboard. In everest, whenever the temperature changes, the whole laptop freezes for a second
garyfl
Im also interested in manipulating the fan in the 7720, one minute its going wild the next minute its dead silent, it could do with spinning up a little more often.
MariusRZR
Tried several times to access the FAN control. No luck. I guess it can't be done.
