MSI GT60-0NE Low 3D Mark scores

Recommended Posts

So I have an MSI gt60 0NE w/680M

Stock 3D mark scores are normal, but as soon as I turn up the clocks they actually get lower. I tried it with throttle stop and the same results were there.

Any ideas?

Turn up cpu or gpu clocks? If the gpu, you need the unlocked vbios.

GPU. I will flash an unlocked vBIOS and will let you know what happens.

Could be you need to turn down your clocks just a bit, and see if it improves. Try increasing things slowly and see when and where it starts to improve and go from there.

Yes, I had the same issue until I flashed the EC, if you have the gt60 403us model, make sure you are using the t17 ec version, not t16.

maybe its because of the heat the OC is producing, causing the VC to throttle down the core. in my laptop (GE60), the core is throttled when i reach 85c. you may want to look into that :)

A good program for the OP, and you, well anyone that experiences throttling when you have a temperature you're comfortable with: ThrottleStop.
