It's not possible to reflash the bios by dissasembly the chip on the motherboard ?

My warrenty is canceled since i upgrade the memory under the keyboard :/

I just feel i throw 1200€ away :/

Merry Christmas...

Same here but I sent it in anyways... There's no evidence I modified it... I took everything back out... no stickers, etc... Not sure how they would know...

Would have a very important question before updating the Bios.

If I have any problems with the modded bios, after can I downgrade the original Bios?

The WinFlash (/nodate) will not work because the bios file sizes do not match.

The downgrade is possible with Fptw64?

Does anybody know?

Thanks.

svl7: Could you share with us only the nvbios file?

(mod00 'GHZ edition' - 660m 3d clocks at 1000MHz core / 1400MHz memory)

Thank you very much.

Merry Christmas.

-----------------

Sorry. Google is my friend.

While I found the answer to all my questions.

But I really would like to get only vbios file.

Thanks.

This is so off topic, I don't even know why I respond.

Don't worry too much. Usually there's only one "warranty void if removed" seal in the Asus systems, most times on the CPU heatsink.

I still say send it in, it's your best option. They'll fix it.

Can anybody make temperature test with FurMark, please?

Thanks.

Stupid idea, furmark is only good for one thing - killing cards. A game is a much better reference for temps.

Exactly.

And next time don't just flash anything in your own ways ;)

Well, why exactly if I may ask? It's all in the bios.

But I read the whole thread, I'm qualified... just kidding... anyways, when I get it back, I plan to reflash anyways, just would like to see if anyone has flashed the BIOS and used the keyboard fix, and retained the mods... the fix's first step is to flash stock .222... so does someone need to dump a stock BIOS and a no light BIOS to try and narrow it down?

Yes, you can.

I don't need this unlock bios. I guess it was wrong source (211 backup).

Is there a way to rescue the real bios size.

Original bios size is 6293504 byte and not 6291456 byte.

It's Secure Capsule Bios.

Cannot be use "wrong softwares", because will be incorrect file size.

For example: universal bios backup, afuwin....

And one more thing....

Why it was necessary to hide these options?

Please, somebody could save vbios for me with gpu-z?

Thanks.

The bios is exactly the correct size, you can't dump the vbios per GPU-Z, there's no separate flash chip on the gpu module, it's all stored in the bios.

And I hid those options because they don't work properly, or not at all. I don't just unlock any crap, the stuff which will brick your board is hidden.

Alright. Sorry.

If you could give me only vbios file, I could make myself the 210 bios.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

That's interesting... If I understand this correctly, then Asus implemented the keyboard backlight stuff very badly. Can you do me a favor and dump your bios? I want to check something. I should be able to fix it in this case.

What's about my G75VW v2.22 bios?

Do You overclocking it?

Managed to get 3078 points in 3dmark 11 :) Running 1085/1355 that´s okey!

Just wounder, what values should I use in bios to maximize the performance from the cpu ?

Is there anyway of pushing the voltage a bit higher ? I´m runnin 1200/1400 now and scoring 3348p in 3dmark11.

Edit: Pushed it a bit harder ;)

This one should fix the backlight issue. It's based on the v222 bios, I only modified the 660m vbios. To include the 670m I first need a GPU-Z screenshot of bios 222.

Let me know how this works out, thanks.

Awesome! I´ll try it out now :P

BTW Possible to tweak the voltages ?

Update: Work´s like a charm now, big thnx, u rock man!

But sadly I can´t clock as much with this modded bios :(
