They work but I believe they clock down to 1333MHz :) that may be system ram speed limit for first gen Intel Core series cpus.

Are you sure you put the ram properly in their slots? At first I had one of the two sticks that was not fully inserted and caused the start up to stop at BIOS level.

I have 2x8Gb of 1333MHz Ram in my M15X, and it works well (though it is pretty useless, for some apps you need a bit more than 4Gb, and 8Gb is more than enough).

Sorry, if that can be merged with the previous post by a moderator:

The exact reference of my RAM is: G Skill F3-10666CL9-8GBSQ.

As far as I know 16gb works fine, was thinking about upgrading myself (though I'm not sure that there's any point). The reason for the max "supported" memory being listed at 8gb is most likely due the fact that 8gb SO-DIMMs didn't exist at the time, and thus were unable to be tested (could be wrong there).

In my M15x I have 2x8GB Kingstone KVR16LS11/8 with 740qm.

With 920xm situation is the same.

Bios can't see module but Windows 7 see all 16GB RAM.

RAM have 1.35V and 1600MHz but I can max 1333MHz.

Everythink works good and better with 16GB.
