epgdurand
No, I apologize for the inconvenience. I've been out of town for the past week. I promise by Friday This Friday ?
Xonar
This Friday ? I'm really bad with deadlines, sorry mate. There should be an option under Advanced called "Extra". When you go into Extra it should take you to a new subfolder with a bunch of CPU options and memory timings, etc, etc. Let me know what you think. Thanks. ms1762.zip gt60.zip

It really is not hard to make 5 posts. Just find a couple threads where you can contribute to the discussion and enjoy! No problem Thanks for the work. Flash went ok. Extra option seemsgreyed and dont open any submenu. can you double check? thanks Thanks, I will take a look to see if it can be enabled in "Main". Unfortunately, I have to continue bothering you with testing because my notebook does not have the same issue that your's does. Hope you don't mind. Regards. Thanks Hi Serg, welcome to T|I! Unfortunately, the fan speed is controlled by the EC so you'll need to find a program to edit the EC. I have a link somewhere in this thread for it. Moderator BAKED Posted November 23, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 23, 2012 I flashed back to the stock BIOS because I had these weird problems with missing bootmgr for no reason on my gt683dx will try again later.
svl7
Do you happen to have a raid? Because if so, the bios probably is set to AHCI after flashing, you'd need to change the setting...
Moderator BAKED Posted November 23, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 23, 2012 No that wasn't the issue I'm not using raid I set it to ahci before booting into windows. I encountered the weird problem when I accessed the bios even without changing anything. And then when I booted up i got bootmgr is missing so I had to go into bios and reset defaults to be able to boot. So whenever I went in to bios I had to reset defaults >> set ahci>>and reboot to be able to boot. A guess is that I inactivated pxe and that messed up the boot order or sumtn. This happened every time and like a said, it is weird

stas.b85
Thank you! It worked.Wanted to ask: can be heard on the MSI GT 683 can be put Ivy Bridge CPU if flash the modified BIOS. Is it really possible?
omega939
GT 683 series are sandy bridge based processors in which you can upgrade to a sandy bridge procy only. GPU of GT683 are MXM board based. so meaning you can upgrade to a higher version of GPU for your laptop. Please ask the guru's here if you want to see the compatible GPU's for your laptop

Probably the 50T is only for GT60 shipped with win 8. If that is tue,Lets hope MSI will keep maintening both bios version.
