Privileging and the Medical credentialing consist of a few simple processes containing provider credentialing, enrollment of a provider, and the privileging Credentialing, also known as re-enrollment and revalidation occurs periodically and requires a provider to repeat the credentialing process. A healthcare provider is someone who provides healthcare services to someone. The healthcare provider you're probably the most familiar with is your primary care physician (PCP) or the specialists you see when you need individual specific medical care. But there are all different types of healthcare providers. Some healthcare provider provides any healthcare service you might need.

In general terms, the healthcare provider is the one who provides healthcare service to you. Who all are these healthcare providers? The healthcare providers are probably the most familiar primary care physician or specialists who offer you specific medical care. In other words, we can say that some of the healthcare providers provide any healthcare service, which is needed. In healthcare organizations, some companies offer healthcare provider solutions whenever in need. We offer some solutions like Population health management, healthcare interoperability solutions, Telehealth software solutions, etc. Sometimes a healthcare provider is referred incorrectly that it is using to refer to a healthcare insurance plan.

Why does it matter to have a healthcare provider?

Having a healthcare provider is very important these days. Most of the health plans have provider networks. These networks are some of the group providers who have already agreed to provide services to the health plan's members at specific discounted rates and have already met the healthcare insurer's quality standards. An individual's health plan prefers its use in the network providers rather than using out of the network providers. Also, considering the fact health maintenance organizations and complete provider solutions will not pay you off for services that  you will get from a healthcare provider that is really out of the networks. Preferred provider organizations will pay you for care provided by out of the network providers. But, they will incentivize you to care from the network providers by charging you out of the network.
