Dell 1080 card lower power limit/speeds

I had no problems upgrading my psu and fans for this XPS 8930 from Dell. The PSU is now 600W up from 450w.

However, my 8930 was purchased with a GTX 1080 graphics card that I now find out is throttled to 180W down from 198W and 1607Mhz down from 1785Mhz I'm assuming to make room for the small PSU they used. Here are the details https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/195425/dell-gtx1080-8192-160904

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the vbios in their cards, or if anyone would give caution? Should be able to reflash the original bios if this doesn't work but don't want a brick. For example, can I use this? https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/183797/asus-gtx1080-8192-160522

fwiw, I am currently using Afterburner and Kboost to get higher clock speeds, but not sure if this is hindering me. Alternatively, could I try pulling the vbios and altering it to a higher power consumption?
