For flash any unlocked/modified bios into your laptop model, you need use hardware SPI-programmer and SOIC8 test clip.

Hello again Maestro. I want to thank you for your kind attention, but the BIOS chip in my Lenovo X131e was not readable with the CH341a programmer and SOP clip. With the programmer properly assembled and the driver pre-installed and the software showing Device Status : Connected and all functions available (not grayed out) and the clip firmly attached to the chip (red wire at the dimple) the Winbond 25X40BVSIG chip could not be read nor was it shown in the Winbond drop down menu for 25 spi chips.  I guess Lenovo discontinued the chip. Oh well, you can't blame a guy for trying!
