How to tell if MXM 3.0b is from a Dell or Clevo etc.

Hi,

I recently ordered a 7970m on eBay for cheap and was going to try and upgrade the card in my Clevo p150em.  I know these are natively supported with latest bios so figured this would be an easy upgrade to hold me over till I can afford a 1060 gtx later (which I know requires modded bios).  What I am finding is that if card came from a Dell or Alienware it will not work.  Is there any way to tell if it is made for a Clevo or Dell/Alienware?  I've seen somewhere that Cleve pcb boards are blue and Dell's are green.  Is this true?

my clevo 980M PCB is green... so maybe not all of them are really blue. If you have no way of checking the manufacturer through GPU-Z, then I'd probably take a look around the PCB and look for any text saying the brand or such. That's honestly my best guess, but im sure someone else here will have an even better answer.

Thanks, I haven't received it yet.  I just won the auction a couple of days ago.  I got it for only $40 so I figured I would take the gamble.  I was just curious to see if there was a way without installing it in the computer.  What model Clevo do you have?  Did you have any problems getting the 9880m recognized?

My Clevo model is the P750DM-G. It natively comes with the 980M so theres no issue for me.
