Hard Drive Firmware Update

Recommended Posts

Hello TI, its been a while since I was last here...

I recently tried to update the firmware for my hard drive by downloading the drivers from the Dell Driver site. However, when I reboot, there is a loud beep and then a message that says "Non-System Disk - press any key to continue". I press the key and everything is normal. But whenever I want to boot up, it keeps making this very loud and obnoxious beep.

Anyone here know how I can fix this?

Thanks!

Nvm, I got it fixed

Just open up system recovery (Start up, tap f8 until menu appears, then use "repair your computer")

Select language, login, blah blah blah

Open command prompt from the menu

Type "bootrec /fixmbr"

Restart

???

Profit
