Hi!

Also, you can search on YouTube a lot of guide for CH341a.

Hey,

I am trying to get an eGPU setup working with my x240. I bought the GDC Beast v8.4 with NGFF cable. The reason why I am posting in this thread is the following. Of course I was facing the whitelist issue and luckily I found this expert thread. I now ordered the SPI Programmer and Test Clip to dump the BIOS.

Before I dive down the rabbit hole any further I have two questions.

1. Does anybody know if the x240 is even compatible with the mentioned eGPU solution? Is the NGFF slot SATA only or PCIE compatible? Unfortunately I found no adequate answer on the internet so far.

2. Is my plan feasable? Next steps would be to -dump BIOS file and attach it in this thread -hopefully have whitelist removed -connect eGPU setup (all parts already on my table) -hopefully have a working setup.

Sorry for my lenghty post, but I find myself overwhelmed by all the stuff I have to factor in right now and I am almost discouraged to continue my plan.

Hey guys, I have an Alienware m14x R2, and I have been trying to get access to the BIOS so that I can change the boot options (Everything is locked, I am unsure if someone set a password of if these are locked by default).I've tried updating the BIOS, and resetting the CMOS and nothing has changed this. Would anyone know if there are other options I can explore? Thank you.

In this thread you can post your requests for Lenovo ThinkPad X250, X260.
If someone wants upgrade Wi-Fi card and remove whitelist, or unlock hidden additional menus and settings in bios setup menu, then you can post your request in this thread.
      Important!
For creating your personal bios dump and to flash your bios mod, you must use any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip!

Just dump your Bios using any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip, then post it in this thread or upload it to any fileserver and send me the link.

      CH341A programmer:

      How to use it:

Also, you can search on YouTube a lot of guide for CH341a.

      Note:
Each bios mod prepare personally and based on your personal bios dump which contain your personal data like Serial numbers, UUID, Service TAG, MAC addresses, Windows keys, NVRAM settings, etc.
For creating your personal bios dump and to flash bios mod, you need use any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip!
Just dump your Bios (from your laptop) using any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip, then post it in this thread or upload it to any fileserver and send me the link.
