Hello, Klem

for some reason autodetect showed 2 possible chips. I attached both. Can you please remove the WLAN whitelist and unlock the advanced menu?

Thank you in advance

Hi!

X240 has only one 16MB chip, it is 25Q128FVSSIQ.  SPI programmer can recognizes it as 25Q128BV though. That's because both chips share the same hardware id. And FV and Q appears to be the newer version with quad speed bit turned on.

Just select 25Q128FV or 25Q128BV, and read bios chip a multiple times with save dump each times. Then just compare it in HxD, all dumps must be exactly the same.

Hello Klem!

Could you please remove the WLAN Whitelist and get the advanced menu working?

My X240 type is 20AL-007YMD and wait for OSX :)

Thanks for considering my request.

Regards

Adam

Gotta pay Klem the cash or else he wouldn't drag drop pre modded modules onto your bios dump.

Hi Klem,

I been  keeping tabs on this thread and I bought a SPI programmer just for this and I really need your help in removing the whitelist for the display for my X240. I've bought a screen that doesn't tally with the service part FRU so I am not able to control my brightness anymore. I've dumped it and I would love if you could also unlock the additonal settings too!

P.S I've a X1 Gen 3 and a Lenovo X201, will you be able to unlock additional settings for both of them and remove the supervisor password for it as well if i dump them?

Thanks so much for your help!

In this thread you can post your requests for Lenovo ThinkPad T440p / T440s / T540p.
If someone wants upgrade Wi-Fi card and remove whitelist, or unlock hidden additional menus and settings in bios setup menu, then you can post your request in this thread.
      Important!
For creating bios backup and to flash bios mod, you must use any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip!

Just dump your Bios using any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip, then post it in this thread or upload it to any fileserver and send me the link.
