Hello All,

I need help so bad.

I have an HP Elitebook 8770w with k4000m. I tried to flash bios of k4000m with the one on this forum and now i have a blank screen and only external monitor works. so pissed.

So i ordered a Dell GTX 770m and installed it and it it boots up to windows only on external monitor, but won't accept any drivers. I modified the nvami.inf and then did a new install with modifying the nvbli.inf and still no luck.

help please. dropped too much money on this.

my laptop Hardware ID is: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E0&SUBSYS_176C103C

I made the following change in the NVAMI.INF

orig
NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.213E.1043 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M"

mine
NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.176C.103C = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M"

AND

find
%NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.213E.1043% = Section104, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E0&SUBSYS_213E1043

replace
%NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.176C.103C% = Section104, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E0&SUBSYS_176C103C

in the NVBLI.INF

since there is no laptop with a 770m, i didn't know what to do but to replace an existing entry.

added to bottom of first list

%NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.176C.103C% = Section32, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E0&SUBSYS_176C103C

added to list of GPUs

NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.176C.103C = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M"

Perhaps the easiest way would be installing drivers for the laptop in which this card was originally installed. Do you, by any chance, know what model was it? Some Alienwares used this one. You might also want to try and disable Optimus.

I can't help with the .inf editing, tried a few times but never succeeded...
