If it's not whitelisted you could probably put whatever card you wanted in there. Assuming it's mpci. edited: From my understanding the T61 bios is whitelisted. And I doubt any of the cards that are on the white list. As far as best card overall. I perfer intel for wireless cards. However this is entirely personal preference.
