MacBook 15" (mid 2014) + akitio thunder2

Hi all, 

 

I've recently purchased a thunder2 enclosure and I'm planning to use it with a MacBook under OS X 10.10.5.

 

I would use mainly for speeding up the stitching of a GoPro 360 rig as the internal GPU is really slow and makes the rendering a real nightmare.

I'm here to ask you some guidelines about the gpu and, if needed, the psu. 

 

I'm looking for the most stable solution with lower power consumption and short size. 

 

would be a rx460 a good solution? Does it works well under OS X? Do I need a psu or a specific power supply ?
