rene_canlas
I'm considering replacing my Dell DA-2 that powers my Akitio TB2 + Zotac GTX 1060 Mini combo with this: STD-12160 http://www.mini-box.com/12v-16A-AC-DC-Power-Adapter It's 192W (12V/16A). The dimensions are slightly smaller than the DA-2, but the weight, at around 850g is almost half that of the DA-2 (1.5kg). What do you guys think? Another Tech Inferno Fan
That 4-pin adapter looks like it might fit with the 4-pin on the EXP GDC. Check its keying.
rene_canlas
So, the STD-12160 power brick arrived today. It is a bit smaller compared to the Dell DA-@ power brick but the weight difference is almost half! I decided to replace the default cable on the power brick with the one from the original Akitio power brick. The Akitio cable is a lot thinner than the original, so I need to monitor the temps at full load to determine how hot the cables will get. Hopefully they won't melt Edited September 15, 2016 by rene_canlas
rene_canlas
Update: Stressed tested the PSU with the Akitio Thunder2 and the GTX 1060 using Heaven for 5 hours. The power supply's cable with the barrel plug didn't even get warm

rene_canlas
@goto35, Sorry, I'm not in the US, so shipping it to you will cost more than buying one locally.
