rabass
Hey all, Wanted to thank this amazing community for the wealth of knowledge. I've begun my first eGPU build thanks to this forum, and have a basic setup up and running (will do a build write up when all my parts arrive). Current setup is 2012 rMBP, Highpoint RocketStor, GTX 760 (until my 970 arrives). I used the awesome automate eGPU script which made the setup a breeze, however when I re-enable the csrutil protection my macbook will no longer output to my external monitor. Instead it will do this strange white flashing sequence, then load the external monitors resolution on the internal screen. When i open the display preferences it thinks the internal monitor is the external. Anyone had this issue before or know how to fix it? would prefer to turn the protection back on. I'm using a 21:9 ultra wide for my external monitor which caused a couple of hiccups when i first installed (couldn't get the full rez). For some reason trying to restart with OSX default drivers fixed the issue - although it still shows as using the web driver and the 760 is definitely being used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Morv
SIP needs to stay disabled. https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/forums/topic/7989-script-automating-the-installation-of-egpu-on-os-x-inc-display-output/&do=findComment&comment=133301 Edited June 8, 2016 by Morv
rabass
thanks @Morv. Was struggling to find info in that giant thread. I was able to re-enable SIP but it meant i had to use the OSX drivers, which seemed to cause some issues while playing League of Legends. I turned it back off and things seem to be more stable on the Nvidia drivers.
