After Microsoft’s flip flopping about the XBOX One’s DRM policy, we decided to post an unscientific poll to see what Tech|Inferno visitors thought of each console and which they planned to purchase if any at all.
After 68 votes and nearly 1 month later, we decided to close the poll and see what the results showed. Unsurprisingly, given the type of audience Tech|Inferno caters to, the PC was the overall winner with 42 votes.
But the more interesting result was Sony PS4 vs Xbox One with the PS4 getting 21 votes vs Xbox One barely scraping up a single vote. There were a few that were undecided and 2 that plan to purchase both systems but if this poll is at all reflective of the sour taste Microsoft left in console gamers, then it seems Sony is going to handily win this Christmas season. Of course things can always change but when you factor in variables like a weak economy, cheaper price of PS4 and the fact that it is more powerful than the Xbox One, it doesn’t take a financial analyst to see that Microsoft is in trouble.
So do you agree with the above poll results and do you think Microsoft has any chance of catching up? Let us know in the comments section or our forum.
