nVidia and ATi have had a rivalry that goes back more than a decade and thankfully after AMD’s acquisition of ATi, it seems not much has changed. Recently, AMD launched it’s Radeon HD 6990 graphics card which has been widely recognized as the fastest graphics card on the market today. AMD themselves have proven this by running 3DMark 11 and scoring an impressive X3303 score.
nVidia decided to one-up AMD by announcing it’s GTX 590 is the fastest card in the world although they failed to specify how they arrived at such a conclusion.
AMD caught on to this fact and has decided to issue a challenge to nVidia in response: Prove that your GTX 590 is the fastest card.
It will be interesting to see how nVidia responds to this challenge if they do at all.
